Tension erupted at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano after the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash between Kano Pillars and Shooting Stars of Ibadan ended in a 1–1 draw.

Moments after the final whistle, chaos broke out as angry Kano Pillars fans stormed the pitch and reportedly attacked Shooting Stars players and officials. Disturbing scenes from the team’s changing room show several 3SC players beaten and injur£d, with blood stains and torn jerseys visible. 💔

According to eyewitnesses, the violent attack began when fans accused the referee of bias, directing their anger toward the visiting Ibadan side. Security operatives were said to have struggled to control the situation as players and staff fled for safety.

The League Management Committee (LMC) and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) are expected to launch an immediate investigation into the incident, which has once again raised serious concerns about fan violence and safety standards in Nigerian football.
