BREAKING NEWS: Lagos State Government Reopens Ogudu/Ifako Bridge After Months of Repairs

The Lagos State Government has announced the reopening of the Ogudu/Ifako Bridge after several months of extensive repair works.

The bridge, which had been shut down for rehabilitation to address structural defects and ensure public safety, serves as a vital link connecting communities in Kosofe and Ojodu with other parts of the state. Its closure had caused significant traffic diversions and delays, forcing commuters to rely on alternative routes.

Speaking during the reopening, state officials explained that the completed works included structural reinforcements, resurfacing, and drainage improvements aimed at extending the lifespan of the bridge and enhancing road safety.

The government expressed appreciation to residents and road users for their patience during the period of inconvenience, assuring that more infrastructure projects are underway to ease transportation challenges across Lagos.

Commuters and motorists have welcomed the reopening, describing it as a major relief for daily movement and business activities in the area.
