BREAKING: Kano Police Arrest Two Suspects Over Attempted Murder of Singer Lil Kesh



The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two key suspects, Mathew Adewole and Mukhtar Muhammad, in connection with the recent violent attack on Nigerian singer, Keshinro Ololade, popularly known as Lil Kesh.


According to police sources, the suspects were apprehended after intelligence-led operations linked them to the brutal assault that occurred at the singer’s Lagos residence. Reports indicate that the attackers inflicted a deep cut on Lil Kesh’s neck in what has been described as an attempted murder.


The incident, which sparked outrage among fans and fellow entertainers, left the artist hospitalized and battling for his life. Though details on his current medical condition remain undisclosed, close associates say he is responding to treatment.


The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Kano disclosed that Adewole and Muhammad were arrested during a raid following credible intelligence and that investigations are ongoing to determine the motive behind the attack as well as whether other accomplices are involved.


The suspects are expected to be transferred to Lagos for further interrogation and prosecution. Authorities assured the public that justice will be served, stressing that violent crimes against citizens, regardless of status, will not go unpunished.


Meanwhile, fans and industry colleagues have continued to send prayers and goodwill messages to Lil Kesh, urging authorities to ensure maximum security for public figures across the country.
