VeryDarkMan Says Kidnapped Bus Driver Is Recovering — Calls on Nigerian Armed Forces to Rescue Full Bus of Passengers Taken into the Bush

 Edo State, Nigeria – August 24, 2025

Popular activist VeryDarkMan (Martins Vincent Otse) has issued a harrowing update following a kidnapping incident yesterday along the hotly contested roads of Edo State. According to his account in a new video post, the driver who was shot during the ambush is now recovering in hospital, though many passengers remain missing. He revealed that an entire busload of individuals was forced into the bush by armed kidnappers.

During the viral broadcast, VeryDarkMan condemned the state’s persistent security lapses and stressed the urgent need for military intervention. He urged the Nigerian Armed Forces to launch a rescue operation and retrieve the abducted passengers still held in the forested outskirts of Edo.

Eyewitnesses, as captured in the footage, described the horrifying scene: a commercial bus was abruptly blocked, the driver was shot, and terrified passengers were taken into the bush. VeryDarkMan and his team sprang into action, working alongside local police to offer immediate aid, particularly to the injured driver, while demanding reinforcements.

This incident adds to growing national concerns about frequent highway kidnappings and the seeming inadequacy of state security measures. VeryDarkMan’s ruthless boldness has drawn both admiration and criticism: hailed as heroic by many online, others have warned about the dangers civilians face when confronting armed criminals without proper training.
