The Federal Government has announced that the updated results of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) will be available within the next 24 hours.
This development comes after the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) temporarily shut down its online result portal earlier this week due to technical glitches that left many candidates unable to access their scores.
In a statement released today, the Ministry of Education assured candidates, parents, and schools that the technical issues have been fully resolved and that the results will be uploaded in batches to ensure smooth access.
“We understand the anxiety and frustration this delay has caused for candidates and their families. WAEC has worked round the clock with our technical teams to address the challenge, and we are happy to inform the public that full access to the updated results will be restored within 24 hours,” the statement read.
The Federal Government also urged candidates to be patient and avoid falling victim to fraudsters who may claim to have early access to the results.
With this update, millions of students across Nigeria are expected to finally view their performance and proceed with their admission processes into tertiary institutions.
